Wanted: Blue Ribbon Winners for The Kentucky State Fair

Have an eye-catching photo you’ve taken or bake a pie everyone begs for around the holidays? We’re searching for you!

The Kentucky State Fair encourages competitors of all ages and interests to submit entries and compete this August. There are cash prizes available and the more than 5,000 blue ribbons to be awarded. Competitors of all ages can choose from 31 departments – including culinary, antiques, livestock, homebrew beer, photography and textiles – which are further divided into 7,000 total classes of competition.

Deadlines for Entries to the Fair:

General – July 2

General (with late fee) – July 10

Open and 4-H/FFA Youth Livestock – July 10

Pigeon and Poultry – July 18

Rabbit – July 1

Open Livestock (with late fee) – July 25

Extra Late Open Livestock (with late fee) – Aug. 3
